Prime Minister Allen Chastanet says that in addition to the new measures to fight community spread of COVID-19, protocols will also be introduced to beef up border control. Over the past few weeks, 7 individuals were arrested by the police on suspicion that they entered the island illegally.
Press Release. Given the current status of active COVID-19 cases and projections, the Government of Saint Lucia is implementing protocols in order to curb the spread of COVID-19 to be effective today, Friday, October 30th 2020 and to remain in effect for the next 30 DAYS.
In an effort to limit the movement of individuals and mitigate the COVID-19 community spread, Prime Minister, Allen Chastanet, announced various measures that would come into effect today, Friday, October 30, 2020, and will be in place for a period of thirty days. All business, inclusive of bars and restaurants are to cease operations from 9 pm.
